The commissioned composer, Kristin Kuster, was one of six accepted in the American Opera Projects' program "Composers and the Voice," and will be setting Act 1 of Darla's libretto as part of her work with the AOP.  American Opera Projects will be presenting the first actin October in NYC, and the full opera will be staged at the Performing Arts Center in Brookings, S.D., on Nov. 16, 2008.
