TEACHING COMES FIRST
Pacific University has a 160-year tradition of excellence in teaching. At Pacific, you will not be taught by upper-level students (this happens at many public universities). You will be taught by real professors, who are experts in their fields, in small classes. Average class size is 19, discussions are common and meeting your professors after class is easy. |
“APPLIED LEARNING”
“Applied Learning” means we help you see ways to use your knowledge. Before graduation, all seniors complete a “senior project” to show they can research and solve problems in the real world. Every year, seniors present their research projects all over campus on “Senior Project Day.” Because the senior research project is connected to real-life, employers like to hire Pacific graduates. Every year, Pacific University is contacted by over 400 companies with job openings. This kind of “Applied Learning” helps you get a job in the U.S. or in your home country. |
WORK EXPERIENCE
Before or after graduation, we can arrange an internship for you. Some of these internships will appear on your school record. After graduation, we can arrange Optional Practical Training (OPT) for you. OPT is always paid and lasts one year. You can do OPT on your student visa, without applying for a work visa. Some internships are paid and some are volunteer. |
