Why We Ask For This Information

All new international students are requested to inform us of the date they will travel to the Portland metropolitan area so that we can be prepared to help in case of any difficulty.

Student Shuttle Service

On Sunday, August 23rd, 2009 and Monday, August 24th, 2009, International Programs will provide a shuttle that runs from the Portland International Airport out to the Forest Grove campus, with stops at the Portland Amtrak Train Station and Greyhound Bus Station and the Hillsboro campus.

The following policies apply to anyone using our Student Shuttle Service:

Please arrange to arrive in Portland no later than 1:00 p.m. Each day’s escorted group will depart from the Portland International Airport at approximately 2:00 p.m.
If your flight is delayed, or your arrival plans change, please contact an adviser as soon as possible by phone or e‐mail. You can call the adviser’s cell phone at 503‐758‐8545 or the office phone at 503‐352‐1600.
International Programs must receive your arrival information and pick-up request at least 10 business days before your planned date of arrival. If we do not get your request before the cut-off date, you will be responsible for providing your own transportation at your own expense.

The following policy applies to anyone planning to live in a residence hall (on‐campus dormitory):

Pacific’s Housing Office will only be able to check you into your campus dormitory room between 3:00 and 5:00 PM. If your flight, train, or bus will not arrive in the Portland metropolitan area by 1:00 PM, we suggest that you stay in a hotel overnight. International Programs gets a discounted group rate in some Portland-area hotels, and is happy to assist you in making reservations. The Pacific shuttle will pick you up at your hotel the next day, and run you and your luggage to Forest Grove.

NOTE: If the above schedule does not meet your needs, please contact us - we may be able to arrange for an individual pick‐up depending on staff & vehicle availability.
