Kelsey Schweitzer ʼ11 attended Pacific University with hopes to become a marine biologist. She dreamed of studying wildlife to find ways to promote the health of the environment and mankind. Eight years later, she had her heart set on going to law school.

Pacific University Outdoor Pursuits staff are excitedly preparing for a full semester of awesome trips and adventures! Outdoor Pursuits is thrilled to offer a variety of trips in the coming weeks, including a Campfire Jam Session, a Kayak Indoor Pool Skill Session, a Mountain Biking Trip, and a Men of Color Beach trip.
As classes ramp up during fall semester, Outdoor Pursuits encourages all Pacific students to step outside, breathe the fresh air, and explore the wilderness! Outdoor Pursuits has a variety of trips to offer in September and beyond.

Student Affairs is excited to announce Jonathon Hyde, EdD as its new Dean of Students. Dr. Hyde brings twenty years of progressively responsible student affairs experience at a variety of universities, including private, public, land-grant, Ivy League and flagship institutions.
Kiera Yap ’21 has received Pacific University’s award for Outstanding Contributions to Student Life.
As the spring semester winds down, join Outdoor Pursuits in one of their final excursions of the season! Paddle into an all-women sea kayaking day trip at Scappoose Bay, hang ten on a surfing day trip, or earn your Wilderness First Aid certification. And don't forget to swing by the Outdoor Pursuits office any weekday to rent gear for your own individualized outdoor experience!

Grab a friend and join OP staff for memorable, fun-filled days, out on the water, or on land!
