Pacific Hall Update | Week of Oct. 30

Progress made the week of Oct. 30 remains consistent with the past few weeks, as finish sequences march along inside the building, and exterior repairs and refurbishment are in full swing. Upstairs, drywall, taping, and painting is virtually complete, and ceiling framing is wrapping up. Door frames have been prepped and painted, and lighting and MEP trim is being installed throughout Level 2.

The next couple weeks will see the team moving into installing equipment and accessories before rough clean and flooring install. Dry wallers, tapers, and painters have rotated downstairs this and have been making steady progress building out first floor spaces and the lobby. With the fire sprinkler system complete, Merit continues replacing the light fixtures throughout Level 1. At the building’s exterior, joint sealant replacement is wrapping up into early next week, and NW Masonry has begun pressure-washing the brick to make ready for new brick sealant. You can see an example of the washed brick along the east face of the building on Trombley Square.

As a whole, the project remains on schedule for substantial completion by January 10, 2024, and reopening by January 29, 2024. Spaces will begin to come ready for cleaning and moving back in existing furniture in mid-to-late December, followed by AV and new furniture install in early-mid January.
