Join the University Libraries' Student Advisory Board

Are you passionate about libraries (or even just deeply curious) and want to help shape Pacific's library services?

The University Libraries currently has five openings on our Libraries Student Advisory Board — a student group that provides feedback on library resources and services. The criteria used to evaluate applications and select board members are available on the board website link above.

Advisory board members are paid for their service (as a non-work-study position) and can serve for one to three academic years. The board meets regularly throughout the academic year (meetings are via Zoom) and board members need to be available for library projects such as focus groups, usability testing, surveys, and attendance at other library meetings.

For the 2022-2023 academic year, there are one undergraduate and four graduate/professional positions open, and the board is especially in need of students from the Colleges of Business, Education, or Optometry (but we’d love to have anyone who is interested in applying!). Students can complete an online application through Friday, Oct. 14, 2022.
