Federal Regulation 668.43 (b) requirements for institutions of higher education
668.43 (b) Institutional Information: The institution must make available for review to any enrolled or prospective student upon request, a copy of the documents describing the institution's accreditation and its State, Federal or tribal approval or licensing. The institution must also provide its students or prospective students with contact information for filing complaints with its accreditor and with its State approval or licensing entity and any other relevant State official or agency that would appropriately handle a student's complaint.

Pacific University is duly licensed by the State of Oregon Office of Degree Authorization (ODA) as a Degree-Granting Institution of Higher Education. The ODA provides for the protection of the citizens of Oregon and their postsecondary schools by ensuring the quality of higher education and preserving the integrity of an academic degree as a public credential. The doctoral AuD program in audiology at Pacific University is a Candidate for Accreditation by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 2200 Research Boulevard #310, Rockville, Maryland 20850, 800-498-2071 or 301-296-5700. Candidacy is a "pre-accreditation" status with the CAA, awarded to developing or emerging programs for a maximum period of five years.

Master in Health Administration
Accreditation for Pacific University’s Master in Health Administration program is in progress. The program is seeking accreditation with the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME).
Graduate Certificate Program in Health Care Compliance
Pacific University approval of this certificate program is in progress. If approved, the program will seek accreditation by the Compliance Certification Board (CCB) of the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA)
The Graduate Certificate in Gerontology for Healthcare Professionals is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). The program is exploring further “stamp of approval” with the Association for Gerontology in Higher Education (AGHE). AGHE’s Program of Merit is a voluntary program of review available to any program in aging.

The Doctor of Pharmacy program of the Pacific University School of Pharmacy was awarded full accreditation status during the June 2009 meeting of the Accreditation Council on Pharmacy Education (ACPE) Board of Directors, based upon an on-site evaluation conducted March 2009. Full accreditation status was extended during the June 2011 meeting of the ACPE Board of Directors, based upon an on-site evaluation conducted April 2011. School of Physician Assistant Studies
Pacific University’s School of Physician Assistant Studies has received full accreditation from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) through September 2016. Graduates from an ARC-PA accredited program are eligible to sit for the national Physician Assistant certification examination.
School of Physical Therapy
Pacific’s School of Physical Therapy is accredited by the Commission in Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) after having demonstrated substantial compliance with the evaluative criteria. Accreditation has been granted April 26, 2006 to June 30, 2016.
Master in Athletic Training
The Master of Science in Athletic Training Program received it's initial accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), on December 12, 2014.

Masters in Counseling Program
The Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists (the Oregon Board) approves Pacific University’s graduate counseling program as meeting professional counselor licensing education requirements. The Board sets education standards consistent with those established by CACREP. CACREP is an independent agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation to accredit master's degree programs in addiction counseling, career counseling, clinical mental health counseling, marriage, couple, and family counseling, school counseling, student affairs and college counseling.
