In the News: Athletics Trainer Eric Pitkanen Epitomizes Boxer Spirit
In the midst of the chaos that ensued on the Las Vegas Strip when a woman drove into a busy sidewalk on Sunday was Pacific University athletics trainer Eric Pitkanen.
Pitkanen was on the strip with the Boxer men’s wrestling team when the car struck numerous pedestrians, sending nearly 40 to local hospitals, including three Pacific students.
In addition to tending to his fellow Boxers, Pitkanen used his athletic medicine background as a first responder to aid other victims in need.
