College of Business Faculty Member Earns Renowned Finance Credential

Huijian Dong, an assistant professor of finance within Pacific University's College of Business, has successfully completed the Chartered Financial Analyst credential program, making him a charterholder of the prestigious CFA Institute. The designation is globally considered to be the premier investment management designation in the financial services industry.

The three levels of rigorous exams required in the CFA curriculum are regarded as the toughest credentialing program for the investment profession. Fewer than one in five candidates who begin the three-part exam successfully complete it and earn the CFA charter.

Dong's CFA designation brings greater credibility to the College of Business' Master of Science in Finance program, and provides a vital link to the professional society of CFA charterholders, many of whom offer scholarship resources for students majoring in finance-related areas.
