Art Professor Doug Anderson Launches Ebola Domino Project

A Pacific University art professor has launched an initiative to help the communities in western Africa hardest hit by the recent Ebola outbreak, and he is asking for interested artists to contribute.

Over the holiday season, Doug Anderson started the Ebola Domino Project, a creative humanitarian experiment that he hopes will convert the talents of hundreds of visual artists into donations for AmeriCares, an aid organization working in Ebola–ravaged areas of Africa.

Artists are asked to create dominoes and send them to Pacific University by April 17, where they will be exhibited in May before being given as perks for donations through a crowdfunding site.

“The project attempts to convert the talents of visual artists into donor dollars to help the communities suffering from Ebola in western Africa,” Anderson said.
