Dr. Goodwin is the Coordinator of the Neuro-ophthalmic Disease Referral Service at Pacific University.  She also advises third year students in primary care clinic and works one day per week in a private practice.  In addition to clinical duties, she teaches Functional Neuroanatomy and Neurobiology, Neuro-ophthalmic Emergencies, Optic Nerve Disease, Ophthalmic Imaging, and Ocular Anatomy  

Dr. Goodwin has authored a number of courses for Pacific's on-line continuing education program.  She has lectured nationally and internationally and authored numerous publications in the area of Neuro-ophthalmic Disease.  She was involved in revising the Cornea chapter for Bartlett and Jaanus’ Clinical Ocular Pharmacology. Her research interests include neuro-ophthalmic disease and ocular disease.

Born in Blackfoot, Idaho, Dr. Goodwin enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking and skiing.

She sums up her passion for teaching at Pacific: "Teaching at the College of Optometry gives me the opportunity to interact with some of the most intelligent people in our community – both doctors and students. It seems I learn something new everyday. Interacting with the students really keeps you on your toes. They expect a lot and this pushes you to become more knowledgeable and a better optometrist."
