He brings a wealth of experience in developing collaborative solutions to operational efficiency and sustainable processes and in student-focused business practices.
“What really struck people is he’s very much a people person. He has a wonderful way of communicating. He has the ability to look at the future with a strategic lens and also brings a lot of empathy,” said Pacific University President Jenny Coyle ’90, OD ’93, MS ‘00. “He will lead us in transforming our budgeting model to keep us contemporary and help us navigate the headwinds that higher ed is facing right now.”
Pacific University is embarking on a new strategic plan, aligning strategy with accreditation processes, and exploring new budgeting models for the university as part of a comprehensive effort to position the university for future success. As vice president for finance and administration, Denney will oversee the university’s financial operations, facilities, information, compliance and emergency management.
“I am very excited and honored at this opportunity and look forward to joining the team at Pacific and contributing to the exceptional history that is Pacific University,” he said.
